Fenchurch Clothing
Back in the day a small collective of UK skateboarders used to skate the banks outside Fenchurch St station in East London where the initial plans were hatched for this new brand- the name Fenchurch is a celebration of their roots.
They each had a deep love of skateboarding and of making and customizing clothing, so with this strong foundation they set about launching a brand that expressed these passions with their own unique flavour.
The 6 arms on the Fenchurch logo represents what they believe was lacking in the market and what they hoped to offer the customer – original design with high quality fabrics and finishing, superior cut and shape, exciting and interesting graphics, reasonable pricing so everyone can afford an item from the range, exclusive distribution by supplying to limited retail outlets and finally a relationship with the customer who is similar in age, shares the same interests and background, plus- a brand with a distinct personality.
Fenchurch launched in 2001. They initially started selling to a handful of long-established skate shops across the UK who believed in what Fenchurch were doing and liked the clothes. The skate team soon expanded to include bmxers, DJs, muscians, photographers, artists and other key figures that were respected for their skills and what they were bringing to the subculture.
Reputation grew and Fenchurch were soon approached by new magazines and influential stores across the UK who wanted to showcase the small, simple ranges. This coupled with their initial instore popularity has given Fenchurch the ability to grow as a brand and produce bigger, better ranges, step-up marketing strategies and launch their first girls range for spring/summer in 2004. This blossomed into a healthy range strong enough to firmly establish itself not only as a mens skate brand but as an influential fashion label for men and women.
The Fenchurch collection includes a superb range of jackets and coats, womens dresses, skirts and specific fit denim alongside industry staples of tee-shirts, sweaters, denim and headwear.
