Emerica

Like its sister company e’S, Emerica is solely dedicated to providing skateboarders with  high quality, durable and technically superior skate shoes. Its name was derived from Etnies America (Emerica for short) which was the official name for Etnies shoes when they were first released in the states though this then became a separate company in its own right.

It is distributed by Sole Technology Inc yet unlike Etnies maintains a core element in its image as a no-nonsense brand, dwelling within the gnarlier spectrum of skateboarding and was immediately recognized as  more raw, simple and straight-ahead than etnies, who cater to a more mainstream crowd. Over the next decade, Emerica evolved into a straight-up, well-oiled skateboarding shoe brand widely respected by skateboarders.

The current Emerica skate team consists of  Andrew Reynolds, Gabriel Vasquez, Heath Kirchart, Ed Templeton, Bryan Herman, Kevin "Spanky" Long, Leo Romero, Braydon Szafranski, Aaron Suski, Chris Senn and Jerry Hsu. With many of the Pro’s releaseing their own pro shoes over the seasons, Emerica have a shoe range which is constantly changing to the current trends of the culture although keeping its core styles consistantly within the range like the team shoe ‘ Heretic’ and classic pro shoes like the ‘Reynolds’, ‘Romero’ and ‘Hsu’. 

Most models feature premium suede/leather/nubuck/synthetic construction and a heel shock absorbing design feature built with the sole unit or as part of the inner-sole. Emerica also produce a full line of apparel to compliment their footwear including a basic and signature range of tee-shirts, hoods, shirts, jackets, caps, beanies, pants and denim including accessories such as wallets, belts, socks, key rings, lanyards and other trinkets.
