DVS
The DVS Shoe Company was founded in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and professional skateboarder Tim Gavin. DVS is a footwear company based out of Torrance, California and is owned by Podium Distribution. They originally made men's skateboard specific shoes, but today they have expanded their footwear line with shoes for women, kids, and toddlers.
One of their most successful models was the DVS Revival which was at one time available in a whole variety of colourways and graphics. Shoe models are no longer restricted to skateboarding, they now include sandals, slippers, and fashion-based designs under the newly launched Luxe range. They also have a full apparel line including tee-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, shirts, denim and trousers, hats and accessories. Their team has expanded as well from originally just sponsoring skateboarders to now encompassing snowboard, motocross, and surf.
Their core range of skate shoes, whch is only available to skate shops, is specifically designed under the guidance and input from the skate team and fall under the Original Intent label and represents DVS at its foundation- a solid skate shoe company designing durable and functional skate footwear for skateboarders. Their current pro skate team is Daewon Song, Jereme Rogers, Chico Brenes, Zered Bassett, Jeron Wilson, Keith Hufnagel, Steve Berra, Kerry Getz, Torey Pudwill and Daniel Castillo.
