DC Shoes is an American footwear company specializing in shoes for skateboarding as well as snowboarding boots and technical attire, tee-shirts, sweaters, hoods, shirts, jeans, hats, and jackets.

The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Vista, CA. DC originally stood for 'Droors Clothing Footwear', but since the sale of Droors as a company (which is now defunct) DC no longer has any ties to Droors and is simply DC Shoes. The company manufactures footwear for skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, motocross, rally car racing, and surfing, for men, women, and kids. They have numerous heavy weights on the skate roster including Danny Way and Colin Mckay who have single-handedly revolutionized vert skating over the years.

Danny Way changing the way skateboarding would be percieved forever by jumping from a helicopter with his skateboard and landing on a vert ramp and then breaking 2 world records on a mega ramp by first gaining the longest ramp to ramp air on a skateboard and then the highest air on a skateboard in one run. Other top pros for DC include Rob Dyrdek, Josh Kalis and Ryan Gallant each of which are well respected within the world of street skating and each have professional signature models out within the DC line.

DC have managed to cross over into the urban streetwear market due to the technical/athletic feel to many of their shoes which has a wider appeal than just the interests of skateboarders. They also boast an extensive womens and kids range.
